Last month we traveled across state lines for Jayme and Chris’s big day. Their wedding was held at a beautiful lake resort outside of Yuma, AZ. These two are just awesome people and their wedding was a true reflection of them and their fun loving attitudes. Jayme was blingtastic with a little “gatsby” look going on… and the boys, well who else would have thought of pairing jackets and ties with board shorts?! Another highlight was Jayme arriving by speedboat accompanied by her two dads.

We had an absolute blast shooting this wedding. Thanks for having us and thanks to my 2nd shooter Jenna for making the trip out to the desert with me!

Happy 1 year anniversary to Jen & Marco… (I know I’m a little late!)

This lovely couple got married last year in El Centro, CA and since I’ve now married into the Imperial Valley, of course I was the chosen photographer! Their ceremony was held at St Anthony’s Church with the reception at the Barcelona Event Center.

These two are great people and I’m happy to now officially call them family. Congrats on 1 year and I look forward to celebrating many more!!

Ok this post is long overdue! Mayet and Paul are such a fun and sweet loving couple. Their love for online gaming brought them together and eventually inspired Mayet to move hundreds of miles to be in Seattle where Paul was. They just have so much fun together and it shows! They had fun little quirky details included in their wedding which was so them. Like the ceremony recessional timed to the Super Mario theme song… hello! So cute. I loved being a part of their celebration. And check out their fun engagement session here

Insert Super Mario theme here…

Mayet’s father serenading her was seriously one of the most touching moments I have ever witnessed at a wedding.

Esther and Uri moved to Austin, TX to start a coffee business… but they still have much love in their hearts for San Diego. They especially love the fact that you can have a beautiful outdoor wedding in late December! They had their wedding at the Bali Hai, which is so gorgeous now that it’s remodeled. Perfect tropical location and classic SD! I’m looking forward to going back for some yummy dinner and Mai Tais.

This wedding is extra special to me because it was the wedding of two of my great friends. Christina is one of my absolute besties… she and I have been through so much and I am so happy for her to have found her equal in Rich. They complement each other in so many ways. Christina is originally from Colorado and so when she laid eyes on Baileys up on Palomar Mountain she knew that was where she wanted to get married. It was an absolutely beautiful event bringing all their great friends and family from near and far. There were so many unique details, many handmade by Rich himself. The dancehall was packed and the moonshine was flowing! Everyone had a great time (myself included!)

Christina wore her mother’s wedding dress. Isn’t it pretty?

The follow up to part 1 of Sarah & Kevin’s wedding… this wedding was so fabulous it deserves 2 posts! The details were amazing, florals beautiful, atmosphere relaxed yet elegant and the food was oh-so-yummy. Can you say lobster mac n cheese? Seafood paella? Mmmm my mouth still waters thinking about it! Check out the shots from the ceremony and day 2 of their wedding extravaganza…

Sarah & Kevin know how to throw a party! Their wedding took place over 2 days starting with an intimate ceremony with family and close friends… and following up with a 200 ppl reception bash the next night. The love was definitely present and the events were centered around these two special people and the ones that love them. Lots of cute details designed by Sara Mackenzie. The vibe was beachy but also kept it stylish & sophisticated.

Check back for part 2 of this fabulous wedding!

I got to photograph an intimate winter destination wedding here in Carlsbad. Isn’t it great that we can have an outdoor ceremony in December?! Amy & Rob are both professional dancers that live in NYC… they are just gorgeous together. It was a beautiful day, sweet, simple and touching. I’m happy to have gotten to know this couple and look forward to seeing them later this year at Christina’s wedding!

Love the unique detail of her dress…

Amy’s dear friend made these cakes herself. Incredible!

As we look towards 2012 and a new year I wanted to share one of my last weddings of this season! It’s been a great year with awesome clients, friends, family and new additions. I’m excited for the new year ahead and all the joy it will bring <3

On to the wedding… Heather and Justin were married in November and they were so happy! It’s truly amazing that they found each other. They just light up in each other’s presence. And they like to ride harleys together- How badass is that! Watch as they ride off into the sunset together..
